10:45-11:45 AM: Latest TSC Research Developments & Research Opportunities: Mustafa Sahin, MD, PhD

Dr. Sahin is the Director of the Multi-Disciplinary Tuberous Sclerosis Program at Children's Hospital Boston. The research in Dr. Sahin's lab is directed at understanding the cellular mechanisms of axon guidance and its relationship to neurological dysfunction in TSC.

Dr. Sahin will provide an overview of research advances in TSC as well as current & future research opportunities at Children's Hospital Boston.

12:30-1:30 PM: Educational Issues in TSC: Catherine (Kitty) Petty, M.Ed., M.A., LMHC

Kitty has spent her career working with children and young adults with special needs. Her career includes working as an elementary school teacher, a special education teacher, a special educational consultant for employees of major corporations, as well as a therapist for children with a wide range of learning difficulties. She is the Educational consultant for the Multi-Disciplinary Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Program at Children's Hospital Boston.
